Flex Error #2015 Invalid Bitmapdata

Well, the surprise is that this error only happens on the "high" performance devices, which I don't quite get. Is there a place in academia for someone who compulsively solves every problem on their own? any help will be appreciated! No ideas? navigate here

I need to be able to scroll through all these images smoothly (and thats why I buffer them to memory). ps: On any supported iOS device (iPhone 4+ and iPad2+) works fine, too.
