However, I found today I was receiving a "General Error" when I tried to simply export my 98 minute movie. I like the quality and file size I can get by exporting this way and create an MP4 file. The real bads news seesm to be that all of the autosave files are corrupted as well. - I DID back up this project a while ago onto the separate drive...too long ago...it opens normally but the edit is from weeks ago and doesn't contain all the hard work
- I trashed the preferneces and now FCP opens, but when I go to open my project I get the message general error 41.

Disable clips with different frame rates and see if the General Error goes away when you render.NOTE: To disable a clip, select it and type Control+B.
